Oak Hill Cemetery
GENERAL INFORMATION
RULES AND REGULATIONS

No trees, shrubs or plants shall be planted in the cemetery
without the permission of the cemetery sexton. The sexton
can be reached at 231-phone.


The cemetery board may order any tree, shrub or plant
removed or pruned when it deems necessary.

The cemetery board shall have general supervision of the
cemetery and all work therein.

No flowers shall be permanently placed on graves unless
contained in a cement container. Bedding plants may be
planted within 8-10 inches of base of monument, but never
over entire grave. All artificial flowers or artificial containers,
including wire, glass, silk or plastic, are prohibited on
cemetery grounds. (except during winter months - see below)
Any non-conforming arrangements will be removed.

Grave blankets, wreaths and other winter decorations will be
allowed from November 1 through April 15.

All rocks or wooden outlines must be below grade level to
facilitate mowing.

operated and managed by a joint cemetery board Aloha Township and one
member each from Benton, Grant and Mullet to regulate this cemetery. All records
for the cemetery are maintained by the Aloha Township Clerk.



  • A family can purchase up to four burial spaces.
  • A cemetery lot can be from one to four burial spaces.
  • A resident or taxpayer of Aloha, Benton, Grant or Mullet Townships can
    purchase burial space for $30 per space. Non-residents can purchase
    burial space for $300 per space.
  • During winter or frost months, when burial is not possible, non-residents
    will be charged  $40 per month storage fee. Storage for future burial
    elsewhere is also $40 per month.
  • Cost for grave opening/closing:   Adults: $400            
     Babies: $200    Cremation Urn: $100
  • All costs are payable to Aloha Township.
