The Grant Township meeting was called to order by Supervisor Wooden at 7:01 P.M.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all.
Present were: Supervisor Wooden, Treasurer Vallance, Clerk Hempenstall, Trustee Hart and Trustee Churchill. A quorum was present. 15 residents
were in attendance.
A motion was made by Treasurer Vallance to approve the agenda with the addition of:
A motion was made by Trustee Hart to approve the minutes of Oct. 12, 2010, supported by Treasurer Vallance and approved by all. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Trustee Hart, supported by Clerk Hempenstall, to provide $1,000.00 to the Humane Society for Animal Control Contracted Services
for the 2011 year. Approved by all. Motion carried.
Public Comment:
General discussion regarding the new burn law which will take effect April, 2011, eliminating all burn barrels in the State of Michigan.
Policy and Procedures:
Pay Bills:
Trustee Hart made a motion to pay the bills as presented. Supported by Trustee Churchill and approved by all. Motion carried.
Adjourn:
A motion was made by Trustee Hart to adjourn the Grant Township Board Meeting at 9:14 P.M. Supported by Clerk Hempenstall and approved by all.

Treasurer's Report
Treasurer Vallance handed out the quarterly statement and budget report and reported on the following:
- Municipal Money Market cash on hand $43,073.95. Deposits total $90.87. Transfers to General Checking $15,200.00. The balance on hand as of
Sept. 30, 2010 $27,964.82. - General Fund Checking cash on hand $3.19. October deposits total $15,200.15. October disbursements total $15,198 .87. The balance on hand
as of Oct. 31, 2010 $4.47. - Investments on Deposit $160,587.21. Total Worth $188,556.50.

Old Business:
- Oath of Office - Karen Hempenstall, Clerk; Diane Berden, Constable; Sharon Churchill, Trustee; Betty Schaefer, Deputy Clerk.
- Board of Review - Board of Review appointments will be made in December for Diane Berden, Dave Hart and Steve Churchill. Alternates will be
Dick Hopkins and Larry Oestreich. Supervisor Wooden to contact those not present at this meeting to ensure their willingness to serve on the
Board of Review prior to December's meeting. The board requested that Supervisor Wooden speak with Assessor, Diane Hahn, about advising
the Board of Review members of upcoming meetings in writing. - Newsletter - review and changes made in the annual Grant Township Newsletter.
- Humane Society - Request for Contracted Services.
A motion was made by Trustee Hart, supported by Clerk Hempenstall, to provide $1,000.00 to the Humane Society for Animal Control Contracted Services
for the 2011 year. Approved by all. Motion carried.
