Leonard Page, County Commissioner's Report.
1. ATV ordinance was passed by the county for 12-15 year olds to ride with parent supervision in the County. Pigeon River left open to ATV @ 25 mph.
2. Approved Antique and Tractor Pull and Horse Pulling permits.
3. Discussion of Drain Commissioner and outside fees to an attorney without County approval. County refusing to pay attorney fees. Discussion of drain on
Huff's property that was filled in by the property owner. CCRC will not take over drains.
4. Marina project with 1/2 paid by State and Waterways Commission and not by County. Revised Waterway Commission to now report to the County.
5. Broadband was joined for $500 from the County. Only one level of membership, considering other levels of ownership, to include other groups. A Board
of directors with 22 counties and the State to deal with co-op not all 22 counties. County Board wants some kind of broadband in Cheboygan with
connections to the rural areas.
6. Weatherization Grant with only 36 households applying out of 1,000 needed, with approx. $7,000 per home for repairs.

Discussion of the outhouse for the hall with a special tank to be poured with no cost as yet. After new toilets built at Benton Twp., the outhouse that is in use
there can be brought over to the Grant Hall with a better structure and a new roof.

Discussion of Hall Rental and table and chair usage outside the hall. Residents used the newer chairs instead of the metal ones. Only old tables and
metal chairs can be loaned out. This was a mistake.

Discussion of chloride with Supervisor Wooden taking care of ordering chloride and grading of roads. Board members felt the need for chloride very soon
because of dusty roads.

Discussion of the old road grader. Wooden said it was on loan to Onaway.

LAND SPLIT presented to Assessor and Supervisor by Tim Carder. Winifred St. #151-021-315-150-00 for a land split. Reviewed by Supervisor and
Assessor for approval. Also the Township Board's approval sent letter and filed with Clerk.

Discussion of garbage pick-up with problems arising with the new company. PAC Sanitation now offers residents $11.00 monthly pick-up. Questioned the
use of PAC for garbage pick-up for residents. All sanitation companies can do business in Grant Twp. With only J & R doing the free monthly pick-up on the
last Thursday.

Discussion of Twin Lakes Campground with the closing of the park with no plans by the DNR to open again. Hempenstall contacted Lansing Reps on the
park closure and the Township acquiring or leasing to run the campground by: 1. Taking over. 2. Leasing. 3. Purchasing. Suggest a letter of intent to
acquire campground may be needed to the State. Not enough information as of yet.

Alverno Fire Dept. budget for 2009-2010 was presented and filed.
