Motion by Hempenstall to accept the Clerk's report. Seconded by K.A. Hart. Carried. TREASURER'S REPORT: IMMA $63,222.66. GF $71.69. CD $206,523.94. Total woth $269,523.94. Motion by K.A. Hart to accept the report. Seconded by Hempenstall. Carried. Investment Report was discussed by Treasurer Vallance. Motion to accept Investment Report by Hempenstall. Seconded by K.A. hart. Carried. Discussion of the 2008-2009 budget was brought forth. Motion by Hempenstall to accept the budget for 2008-2009 that was discussed at the Annual Meeting. Seconded by K.A. Hart. Carried. CORRESPONDENCE DEQ-Campground License for Dunn's Fishing Camp - 25 sites. The minutes from the last CCRC meeting have been received along with the local road expenditures for February. OLD BUSINESS discussion of the PAC Bid that has been received. Motion by Hart to accept the new bid. Seconded by Hempenstall. Carried. NEW BUSINESS: Quote for the purchase of 50 new chairs for the hall from Louie's Equipment Sales was discussed. Motion by Hempenstall to purchase 50 chairs at a total price of $947.50. seconded by Vallance. Carried. K.A. Hart brought up making the hall non-smoking and posting signs. Motion by Hart to make hall non-smoking. Seconded by Wooden. Carried. Hart said she would purchase the signs. Incidental wages was brought up for discussion in regards to making any changes to the current rate of $11.50. Motion by Hempenstall to raise wages to $11.85 to keep in line with the 3% wage increase. Seconded by K.A. Hart. Carried. PUBLIC COMMENT With regards to an audience member, Wooden is going to take a look at Taylor Rd. Audience member also brought up the Weed Control project by the Black Lake Association. The township had previously expressed interest in helping with the project. Now that the project is underway, is the Township willing to provide financial support? Wooden is going to check with the legal department to see how or if support can be provided. A comment was made in appreciation of the Township providing free garbage pickup on the last week of each month and also for the Annual Meeting and luncheon. Wooden discussed the new fire truck that is coming and the benefits it will have for the Township. He also mentioned the ongoing work with the fire department and ISO to get a better rating.
